How we put this together: we compare official feature and pricing pages, app store listings, privacy policies and public user reviews. Prices change, so check the provider's site before you pay.

Key takeaways

  • Enrichment tools fall into three groups: cleaners that match and dedupe records (D&B Connect, HubSpot Data Hub), data providers that fill gaps (ZoomInfo, Cognism, UpLead, People Data Labs) and builders that chain several sources (Clay, FullEnrich, Apollo).
  • Pricing models differ more than features. Clay and FullEnrich bill by credit, People Data Labs starts at $98 a month, and ZoomInfo, Cognism and D&B require a quote.
  • Waterfall enrichment queries several providers in order. Clay says it connects to 150+ data providers, while ZoomInfo argues a single verified record beats a waterfall.
  • Free options exist for testing: Clay's Free plan includes 100 data credits a month, People Data Labs gives 100 credits a month (with contact data hidden), and FullEnrich gives 50 trial credits.
  • Always enrich a small sample first and compare against records your team has already confirmed. Vendor accuracy claims are not independent tests.

The best B2B data enrichment tools for CRM accuracy

A CRM goes stale quietly: people change jobs, companies merge and old forms leave blank fields. Enrichment tools match your records against outside data and fill or correct them. We compared official pricing and product pages, and we did not test the tools ourselves, so the notes below describe what each vendor publishes and how its plans are built.

Clay

Who it suits: Building custom multi-source enrichment workflows

Clay website
clay.com homepage

Clay is a spreadsheet-style workspace where you connect data providers, run them in sequence and push results to your CRM. Its pricing page says you can find and enrich data from 150+ providers and run multi-provider waterfalls on every plan, including Free. It also offers Claygent, an AI agent with web access that can generate custom data points.

The Free plan includes 100 data credits and 500 actions a month, unlimited seats and tables and up to 200 rows per table, but it excludes phone number enrichment. Launch is listed from $185 a month in one place and $167 a month in another (likely monthly versus annual billing), and Growth from $495 a month, with CRM auto-sync and enrichment on Growth. Data credits start at $0.05 each.

It is the most flexible tool here and the least plug-and-play. A RevOps person who likes building workflows will enjoy it, while a rep who wants one click inside Salesforce may find it heavy. Expect to spend time designing which provider runs first and when to stop.

Strengths
  • Enriches from 150+ providers
  • Multi-provider waterfalls on every plan
  • Claygent AI agent for custom research
Weaknesses
  • Plan pricing is complex
  • Phone enrichment and CRM sync need paid plans
02HubSpot Data Hub logo

HubSpot Data Hub

Who it suits: Cleaning and enriching data inside HubSpot

Go to HubSpot Data Hub

Free optionYes
HubSpot Data Hub website
hubspot.com homepage

HubSpot's Data Hub pricing lists a Free tier, a Starter tier priced per seat, Professional from $800 a month (one seat included) and Enterprise from $2,000 a month. The Free tier syncs data between apps and cleans basic data issues, while Professional adds AI-created datasets, data cleanup at scale, automation and data health monitoring.

Separately, HubSpot's data enrichment page says the CRM can enrich company and contact records automatically when someone submits a form, adding attributes such as industry, annual revenue, employee count, technologies used, job title and address. It also describes shortened forms for returning visitors. We could not confirm from official pages how enrichment credits are priced, so check HubSpot's pricing page for your plan.

This is the practical choice if your team lives in HubSpot and you want fewer tools. The catch is lock-in: if your CRM is Salesforce, Pipedrive or something else, the value drops.

Strengths
  • Free tier to sync apps and clean basic issues
  • Enrichment adds firmographic and technographic fields
  • Form enrichment can shorten forms
Weaknesses
  • Professional starts at $800 a month
  • Best value only if HubSpot is your CRM
03ZoomInfo logo

ZoomInfo

Who it suits: One enterprise data layer feeding every system

Free optionFree trial
ZoomInfo website
zoominfo.com homepage

ZoomInfo positions enrichment as one always-fresh source of truth feeding every system you run. Its pricing page says it offers custom packages based on your use case, and enrichment is one of its listed use cases with a free trial. The company also offers its data through an API and other developer routes for teams that want to build around it.

The homepage makes an interesting argument against waterfall enrichment: a waterfall stops at the first source that answers, while ZoomInfo says it verifies across sources and adds company context. That is a marketing claim, but it points to a useful test. Ask any vendor how it handles conflicting answers and how old a returned value can be.

ZoomInfo fits larger organizations that already need its search and intent data. For a team that only wants to repair CRM fields, ask for a narrow package or compare against lighter tools first.

Strengths
  • Dedicated data enrichment use case
  • API and headless delivery options
  • Packages scoped to your use case
Weaknesses
  • No public pricing
  • May be more than a small team needs
04D&B Connect logo

D&B Connect

Who it suits: Matching, cleansing and enriching company records

Go to D&B Connect
Starting priceSee website
Free optionFree trial

D&B Connect, from Dun & Bradstreet, targets the duplicate and identity problem. Its page describes four steps: match records, cleanse them against the D&B Commercial Graph, enrich them with licensed insights and steward them using machine learning. Resolved records are appended with a D-U-N-S Number, a unique nine-digit business identifier, which helps consolidate known duplicates.

The page lists more than 1,600 unique insights, such as company financials, hierarchies and connections, filings and events, and principals and contacts, and cites 650M+ global companies and 550M+ contacts. These figures are D&B's own. Modules include Discover, Manage and a version for Salesforce, and you can upload by API, batch, cloud or iPaaS.

It is best for operations teams with messy account hierarchies, for example parent and subsidiary relationships. It is not a quick list builder. Request the free trial and test it on a real duplicate-heavy segment before judging.

Strengths
  • Match, cleanse, enrich and steward in one product
  • Adds a D-U-N-S Number to resolved records
  • Upload by API, batch, cloud or Salesforce
Weaknesses
  • Pricing is not published
  • More of a data management product than a prospecting tool
05Cognism logo

Cognism

Who it suits: CRM enrichment with European compliance

Go to Cognism
Starting priceSee website
Free optionNo

Cognism sells CRM Enrichment as an add-on to its prospecting plans. Its pages describe identifying gaps in your database, seeing which contacts miss key fields or hold outdated information, and enriching the records that matter most by ICP segment, persona or value, instead of updating everything in bulk. It can also enrich new inbound leads so they are complete and routable.

Credits apply: one credit reveals or enriches a contact, each seat includes an allocation, and you can buy more. Standard and Pro prospecting plans include five seats, and you get a price by speaking to sales. The company's main selling points are phone-verified mobile data and a European focus.

Cognism fits teams with a European or compliance-heavy audience that also want the prospecting side. If you only need enrichment, check how much of the cost comes from the prospecting platform you may not use.

Strengths
  • Finds missing fields and outdated contacts
  • Prioritizes ICP segments and high-value contacts
  • Automatically enriches new inbound leads
Weaknesses
  • Quote-based
  • CRM Enrichment is an add-on to a prospecting plan
06Apollo logo

Apollo

Who it suits: Enrichment bundled with prospecting

Go to Apollo
Starting priceSee website
Free optionYes

Apollo includes enrichment as part of a wider prospecting and outreach platform, and its navigation lists a Waterfall Enrichment feature and an enrichment use case. Plans are Free, Basic, Professional and Custom, and the page says the free Starter plan has no time limit. Apollo integrates with Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, SalesLoft and Marketo.

Credits are pooled across the team, granted at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over, which matters if you plan a big one-time cleanup. Without a record selection limit you can select and export up to 10,000 leads in one action. Plan prices did not appear in the page text we could read, so check the live page.

Apollo suits small teams that need enrichment and sales tools together at a modest cost. The plans are for internal business use, so you cannot resell its data.

Strengths
  • Free plan with no time limit
  • Waterfall enrichment feature
  • CRM integrations with Salesforce and HubSpot
Weaknesses
  • Credits expire each billing cycle
  • Plan prices were not readable on the page
07FullEnrich logo

FullEnrich

Who it suits: Paying only for verified emails and phones

Go to FullEnrich
Starting price$55 per month
Free optionFree trial

FullEnrich is a pay-for-results enrichment service. Its pricing page says you are charged only when verified data is found. A work email costs 1 credit, a personal email 3 credits, a mobile number 10 credits and a reverse email lookup 1 credit, while company and profile data is included free with any enrichment.

The Pro plan shows 1,000 credits a month at $0.055 per credit, which works out to about $55 a month, and the page's calculator suggests 15,000 credits at $720 a month for a larger team. The free trial includes 50 credits with no card. Treat the starting price as indicative, since the monthly price display on the page was hard to read.

It is a good fit for teams whose main gap is missing emails and mobile numbers and who dislike paying for failed lookups. It will not merge duplicate accounts or fix hierarchies.

Strengths
  • Charges only when verified data is found
  • Waterfall enrichment
  • Free trial with 50 credits and no card
Weaknesses
  • Mobile numbers cost 10 credits each
  • Focused on contact data, not company cleanup
08People Data Labs logo

People Data Labs

Who it suits: Developers enriching records through an API

Go to People Data Labs
Starting priceFree
Free optionYes

People Data Labs (PDL) sells person and company data through APIs. The Free plan gives up to 100 credits a month, but emails, phone numbers and addresses are obfuscated. Pro starts at $98 a month with as few as 350 credits, includes contact data and premium fields, and offers CSV enrichment. Annual commitments save 20%. Enterprise is custom, with data license feeds and SSO.

The page lists ISO and SOC 2 Type 2 compliance, which matters if procurement asks about security. The page makes no database size claim, so judge coverage with your own sample.

PDL fits engineers building enrichment into a product or pipeline. A sales manager who wants a button in the CRM will find it less friendly, and the entry price buys few records.

Strengths
  • Free tier of up to 100 credits a month
  • CSV enrichment on Pro
  • ISO and SOC 2 Type 2 compliance listed
Weaknesses
  • Free tier hides contact data
  • Needs technical setup
09UpLead logo

UpLead

Who it suits: Enrichment on a mid-priced credit plan

Go to UpLead
Starting price$99 per month
Free optionFree trial (7 days)

UpLead lists a seven-day trial with 5 credits, Essentials at $99 a month with 170 credits and Plus at $199 a month with 400 credits. Data enrichment, which it says keeps your data up to date and complete, starts on Plus, along with email pattern information, technographics and advanced filters. Integrations include Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Pipedrive and Microsoft Dynamics 365.

The vendor claims a 95% accuracy rate on verified emails. That is its own figure, so check a sample. Suppression list uploads help you avoid paying for contacts already in your CRM.

UpLead suits small teams that want a predictable monthly bill. The small credit counts limit large database cleanups.

Strengths
  • Data enrichment on the $199 Plus plan
  • Integrates with Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho and more
  • Suppression list uploads
Weaknesses
  • Small credit allowances
  • Enrichment is not on the cheapest plan

How we picked these

We looked for products that clearly match, clean or fill B2B records, then read each vendor's official pricing, product and FAQ pages. We kept tools with a working official site and a published route to a price or trial, and we wrote See website when a price was not published. We included different approaches, such as builders, platforms and data providers, so the list suits different teams.

Accuracy, database size and coverage numbers come from the vendors and are labeled as such. We did not run hands-on tests, so treat the order as editorial judgment based on transparency, flexibility and fit.

How to improve CRM accuracy with enrichment

Clean before you enrich

Remove duplicates and fix obvious errors first. Enriching a messy database spreads the mess, and you pay credits for records you will later merge.

Decide who wins a conflict

Set a rule for whether outside data overwrites what a rep typed. Many teams only fill blank fields and flag differences for review.

Test on a sample

Enrich 200 records you already trust, then compare. Track how many fields were filled, how many matched and how many bounced when emailed.

Schedule re-enrichment and respect privacy

People change jobs, so one pass is not enough. Choose a schedule that fits your credit budget, and check opt-out and privacy rules for the regions you contact. This is general information, not legal advice.

Frequently asked questions

What is B2B data enrichment?

It is the process of matching records in your CRM against outside data to fill missing fields, correct old values and add details such as company size, industry or direct emails. It can run once, on a schedule or whenever a new lead arrives.

Which tool is best for CRM accuracy?

It depends on the problem. D&B Connect targets matching and duplicates, HubSpot Data Hub works inside HubSpot, Clay lets you chain providers, and FullEnrich focuses on verified emails and phones.

What is waterfall enrichment?

It queries several data providers in order and stops when it finds a result. Clay, FullEnrich and Apollo offer versions of it. ZoomInfo argues that verifying across sources is more reliable than stopping at the first answer.

How much does data enrichment cost?

Costs vary from free tiers to custom contracts. People Data Labs starts at $98 a month, UpLead at $99, FullEnrich at about $55 and Clay's Launch plan around $167 to $185. ZoomInfo, Cognism and D&B Connect require quotes.

Can I enrich my CRM for free?

Only in small amounts. Clay, People Data Labs and HubSpot have free tiers, and FullEnrich and UpLead offer trials. These are useful for testing, not for cleaning a large database.
