There’s a few things to ponder as you search the internet endlessly for an ‘online job’. The most important is do you want an online job? OR do you want to work on the internet?

These two questions seem essentially the same but are completely different.

Listen if you want a online job, feel free to get out there and get it. You can hook up with ChaCha right now and help to expedite questions for their text messaging service and easily work 40-50 hours a week from your home and make actual real money right now. Simply get approved by taking a quick test and you are well on your way to having an online job which I’m sure most people have told you is impossible. But buyer beware, you will quickly be working your tail off to make an income. Work is work, nothing is easy in the world of having an online job and overall tends to be tougher, lower paying, yet you set your own hours and have no repercussions if you don’t show up.

Though if you want to work on the internet you have a whole different aspect of what you’d like to do. ”Own your own business” as they call it. Simply put, become a webmaster. Run a website, sell a service, open an online store. What have you. You’re goal here is to having something profitable for you that you can eventually run on auto pilot. Auto pilot is something I’m going to dive into more in future articles. But for right now really sit here and ponder, do you want an online job or do you want to work on the internet? Your answer decides your future here.

There will always be tools that internet marketers need to do their jobs correctly and more efficiently and surprisingly these tools can turn out to be fairly easy to create. But hey a marketer is simply that and has no intention on making the tools they use and so they will pay out the nose in order to get them.

Whether it’s a content management system, search engine submission, article spinner, membership system, template or whatever other option you can think of. Someone needs it and is willing to pay you to do it.

But how can this be done? Listen, it’s tough. But not really. When Myspace was taking off, I taught myself how to program in php within weeks and quickly sold full rights to a Myspace layouts script for over $5,000 and have since sold php scripts to people in total for high 5 figures. While 5 figures isn’t exactly mansion living it was certainly worth it to concentrate for a few weeks on programming and being able to create these programs.

And with tools such as php.net and Google being able to troubleshoot your programs and learning how to develop is easier now than ever and let me be perfectly clear you won’t be the best programmer and almost certainly couldn’t get a job with a programming firm as your code is likely to be sloppy but it will be functional and with functionality comes the ability to sell it. Coders code, consumers don’t. They only want it to work and aren’t necessarily concerned with how you do it as long as you do.

This type of work isn’t for everyone but if you’ve got the time to concentrate this could quickly become your second source of income!

Recently, I have been getting inundated with emails from visitors about updating online-jobs.org . As it turns out, I started out very strong on this blog and with a swift pressing of the brakes let it slip and slide down to no new posts in months.

Which also meant I was not promoting the site either which is why I was surprised to start receiving emails from visitors asking for the next post to be coming soon. Turns out the ever so underestimated search engine over as live.com took a liking to my site and decided to start shooting people on over. I thank you for that live and if you came here from there, Welcome to Online-Jobs.org I ask that you get acquainted with the previous material as I think it still holds true even though some of it is months old.

I’ve been really busy trying to get ready for the extremely cold weather that is on its way here in the North East but also coming to grips with the fact that my state is in a complete recession and currently holds the US Championship belt for highest unemployment rate in the country after triumphantly defeating Michigan for the belt in last months PPV event.

Well maybe its not that glamorous but if you’ve been keeping up with the news on the economy, you know nothing is going according to plan, especially not in Rhode Island which is where my family and I are currently located.

However, enough about the bad news this website is all about bringing the good news and the good ideas to you. You, who is looking to make a first, second, or third income or some more money to stash away in an emergency fund or mattress fund whichever is best for you.

So please bookmark us, and come back tomorrow as I will be posting the latest article dealing with starting your online income on a budget of $0-$10 and have it getting traffic within the week.

I’ll see you then.

Now who doesn’t remember playing Monopoly? That great board game where you roll the dice, buy property and charge people rent when they land on it. This was my favorite game ever when I was growing up and I still play it on my computer today and hunt down the Monopoly Slot Machines when I’m at the Casino (which is about once every 2-3 years at this point).

So it should come as no surprise to me or anyone that knows me that I love VRE or Virtual Real Estate.

Quick example before I explain more: Online-Jobs.Org is a piece of VRE. A prime example of Virtual Real Estate that I visit often and renovate on an almost daily basis currently with new paintings, windows, doors, etc. in other words new articles / blog entries.

I currently own over 50 properties of VRE and while about 25-30 are unoccupied I am preparing all of those for occupancy as we speak.

Now, Virtual Real Estate is just like owning actual Real Estate except its a whole heck of a lot cheaper, no oil bills, and usually no tenants calling you at 2 am about a lightbulb that went out.

You can also turn any Baltic Avenue VRE Property into a Park Place or Boardwalk with a little hard work just the same as you can turn a shack into a livable 2 family home and make bank on it.

My role in my Monopoly Empire is 100% landlord. I am currently too attached to all my projects to sell them even though I am aware that I can make more from an upfront payment than I will holding onto the property for another year. I just can’t let go.

I’ve sold my property in the past, I actually have a list of over 500 domain names that I’ve purchased and resold at a profit I could have easily showed the world how to flip domain names more than 6 years ago and made a killing teaching people how to do it.

Enough about me.

Lets show you how to play the game.

As in real life, you have a choice to make.

• You can buy up undeveloped lots [brand new domain names] and turn them into prime real estate.

• You can find VRE that you’d like to purchase from other developers [webmasters] by browing ads

• You can be a landlord [like me currently]

• You can be a flipper [like I used to be]

I would say a fair share would say its better to be a landlord and the other half would say its better to be a flipper. Either way there is money to be made and if you can quickly and easily dispose of a property for more than double what you’ve paid for it. I think you should do it.

Like I mentioned earlier any Baltic Ave can make its way into a Park Place with some time and effort. Most people wouldn’t buy a .ORG domain that has a Hyphen in it. I did and while I don’t make any income from this site to speak of, I sure do enjoy working on it. I call this property MY Property. It keeps me sane to write down everything I know and makes me breathe easier knowing that maybe someone can be helped using my knowledge.

Now lets go through and figure each step out one at a time.

•Developing New Property

So you decide I’m going to run out and buy a brand new undeveloped lot for a few bucks. You find one thats available and grab it! Its now yours. What is your next step?

If you said ‘sell it’ you are wrong. Most domains bought will not be sold above the registration fee without some kind of history, age, website, or traffic. This doesn’t include your insider information on a product about to be released that you snagged a domain for. Those will probably go for more than the registration fee you paid and congratulations on the sale.

Your next step should be deciding if you want to develop it for you to have or develop it for you to flip and sell to someone else. Having that thought process in mind can help you in the development process. Now you know that you have to design it to have mass appeal, using a common system your buyer will be familiar with doesn’t necessarily hurt either, such as WordPress.

When you decide you’re going to flip a property from the get-go you are also in a rush. Look webhosting costs money, albeit not alot of money depending on what host you choose but money nonetheless so the longer you hold on to a property the more its going to cost you in the long run. So now you need the design done, the plan for the property in mind or even better if its on paper or a text file. The quicker you can get the site online the better it is for you. As you need to put together a massive effort towards getting traffic and getting it quickly.

I see people buying domains at say $10 a piece. Putting a site up and running within 48 hours and pumping traffic to it for 1 week make 6-7 sales within that week and flip the site for hundreds if not thousands of dollars and they’ve only owned the property less than a month.

How many times would you do that per month if you could?

A lot I’m sure.

You could also choose to keep the property for yourself. Sometimes domain names become near and dear to you even though other people might think they’re ugly or worthless. Better yet other people might want your domain name right now and you don’t even know it.

Stay tuned for part 2 of this article coming up this weekend.

So you’re stuck. No ideas flowing, complete webmaster block. Can’t write anything, no designs and just losing your mind trying to think of that next idea to make you some money.

We’ve all been there, heck I’m probably right where you are atleast once a week. I just lose it, all of it. It’s a sad realization that I have way too many ideas and they can all get mashed together and suddenly my call of action is internally shut off and I sit and stare at the computer screen doing absolutely nothing. My wife is notorious for walking into my office at this exact moment to yell at me for not spending the time with her if I’m not working which is even more detrimental to my case of nothingness.

But maybe you’re not at that point and you just overall need an idea on what you’re going to do next. Whether you want to sell a real life product and have it dropshipped, or you’re going to house them in your bedroom closet and mail them to people or you just want a new idea for a brand new website to add to your ever growing portfolio.

In 2002, yes I know ages ago in internet time. I came across the easiest way of finding that one or two ideas that will make you money. In that year I made over $60,000 using this method. Subsequently I also blew through all that money being a young adult in less than a year so don’t do that part as its not a recommended portion of this method.

So here it is, the moment I reveal to you something so simple its outrageous that it made me a dime never mind that amount of money.

I went to eBay. What?!! Yep thats it right there. I went to eBay more specifically this Category here: Businesses For Sale

I went right there, sorted the list by Price: High To Low.

Now when you sort it that way you are going to be bombarded with listings full of absolute garbage that people are trying to sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Skip right over those and find the highest priced ones that people have actually bid on and try and make sure its over one bid.

Now click on that auction, find out exactly what the website is about and what it does. If its selling a product immediately try and figure out where you can get that same product and how much you can get it for and then see how much its selling for on that auctions website and see if you can make a profit and then go for it.

If its an actual website that isn’t selling anything but has some sort of feature that users are absolutely drooling over see if there is a script out there that does the same thing for cheaper or for nothing at all. Try hotscripts.com and the like to see if anything is available. Then you can make a website just like it as competition.

Here is the absolute best part of this method. Bookmark that auction right now, and start your new website right now. Now if things go wrong, and it just doesn’t pan out and the website isn’t successful or isn’t as successful as you had hoped it would be. List yours for sale on eBay in the same category.

Make note in the subtitle that “Similar website sold on eBay last month for $14,000″ or however much it sold for. Not only will you get the attention of the average browser you may find a couple of losing bidders from the past auction who still want that website and will bid on yours to get a clone of it.

Please also note to do your homework. My 2002 grand victory was probably a fluke beyond flukes but it worked nonetheless and I ran profitable businesses the entire year and sold them all off in December for a good chunk of cash as well but I did my homework on the industries they were in and all were actual real life products that had high demand throughout the year. I sold them right before the Holidays and I’m sure the users who bought them made a boatload of cash that holiday season.

And yes, for the record I had forgotten about this method until I was just talking to my wife about how much I used to make on the computer. I’m actually going to eBay right now, and she’s pissed that I’m telling you guys about this method when I ‘should’ve made an eBook or something’ out of it. Ha. Enjoy and let me know how it works out for you guys.

In your travels you may come across some eBooks / Courses designed to help you ‘Cash in on Myspace’ and nothing at all could be any further from the truth than the idea of making money on myspace, through advertising to people from one account to another.

Was there a day when this was all possible and people laughed all the way to the bank because of spamming Myspace? YES! There was and what a glorious time it was I’m sure for all the marketers that attacked Myspace and made an absolute fortune because of it.

Nowadays however, Myspace will find you spamming, instantly shut down your account(s) and if you make a habit out of doing it they will send their lawyers down to your place of business and serve you notice of intent to file a lawsuit against you.

Sounds like a great idea to spend $7-$37 on a book setting you straight into a lawsuit doesn’t it?

Not to mention at every turn, any correspondance between members has a button that says “Spam” or “Report”, in every email, bulletin or friend request. Myspace users have been fed up with constant spamming of free iphones, giftcards, or even drugs. They make no qualms about hitting a spam button and having you shut down and out of business in no time.

But wait…I can hear you saying ‘Isn’t there any way to make money from Myspace?’.

Yes, there is.

Huh what?

This is called Myspace Resource Sites. It is for a more advanced webmaster, ok well maybe not advanced but atleast intermediate.

You may have heard of sites such as Whateverlife.com, Pimp-my-profile.com, Wzrm.Com, etc. etc. and etc. as there are literally thousands upon thousands of resource sites out there.

I’ll admit, the market is entirely saturated with competition that have aged domains, high pagerank and backlinks to the sky.

So am I honestly suggesting you jump into a pond with so many fish most can’t even move? Actually, yes.

Here’s the thing, Myspace Resource Sites have 3 main ingredients Layouts which allow users to change the look of their profile, Glitter images which users post as comments to other users, and Widgets that run in Flash for a unique user experience.

All 3 of those things have backlinks pointing to your site. Yes, so User 1 grabs a layout and uses it as it describes their personality, favorite color, or favorite celebrity. User 2 sees that layout, likes it, and goes back to your website to find something similar or even entirely different to use and the process goes viral in minutes, hours, day, weeks, months, etc. etc. and you can get thousands of users to your site in no time because of user curiosity.

Even more so, users have a tendancy to find one cool Glitter image and post it to most of their friends. Say you have a glitter that says Merry Christmas that they like. They will go to each and every friends myspace page and post that same image over and over and over which of course links to your website, has a link underdeath it, and your web address written across the image itself. Free promotion at its absolute finest.

Plus you can target a boatload of different social networks such as Facebook, Friendster, etc.

So how is it you get started in such a crazy market. Well first things first, you need a domain name and luckily for you the name does not matter. Of course don’t take a name like “best-health-care-products.zz” and turn it into a Resource site but since the market is saturated something as great as MyspaceLayouts.Anything is going to be taken. But something cool, original, and short will do just as good as any other domain since your links will be embedded in everything you do.

Second is to find a CMS, content management system, that caters to this industry. One that does this insanely well is over at EDIScripts.Com its currently priced at $127 but what I believe is a glitch in their system is showing at $97 if you click Buy now. Don’t tell them that though lol. They also give you 150+ layouts and 2,200+ glitter images to start you off.

There are less expensive scripts but I haven’t found one that gives so many back end options as that one. Though if price is an issue you can check out – m2scripts.com which offers a skeleton CMS for only $50 but it really is a barebones system and will most likely need to be added on to if you plan on competing against current websites and also comes with no layouts or graphics.

After you choose your CMS, get that set up and running with enough content to satisfy a user browsing around now its time to start your one time Bum Marketing method on Myspace.

Most people have a Myspace account already. If you do, perfect, simply go to your own website find a layout and use it on your Myspace profile. Now your friends will see that you updated your profile information and go check it out. Here we go again, they like your profile and go to your website to see if they like anything.

Step 2 is finding a glitter or image you like from your website and going through your friends and leaving it as a comment on their profile. They know you already, so its not spam and ta-da they like that image so they click to your website BUT now their friends see that comment and they like it so now they click to your website and they find an image they like and now they use and so on and so forth down the line.

You can easily have hundreds if not thousands of users per day to your website in just a little bit of time and best of all, if the users don’t find anything they like they’re already searching so they may just click an ad to take them to another site that may have something they do like, finally giving you what you wanted to begin with. Income.

If you’ve been around internet marketing for any period of time over 2 weeks you have most likely heard the phrase ‘Bum Marketing’ which usually heavily relies on article writing and submission.

It’s called Bum Marketing because it costs you nothing but time. While time is money, no out of pocket expense occurs. However Bum Marketing does not work for everyone and most users of this method quickly find out that it may not be for them.

In order for Bum Marketing to work for you, you need to be patient and committed to the process. It can take days, or weeks for Google to find your article and then even longer for it to be ranked properly, efficiently and to have visitors respond to it by clicking back to your website or through to your chosen advertisement.

You also need to slow down. In my previous entries I’ve told you to grab 6-12 articles on a particular market and either submit them, sell them, or base an entire website around them and move on to the next project before coming back to that one.

With Bum Marketing, if you plan on spending absolutely no out of pocket money on advertising, links, etc. I suggest taking your time with each project. Not to say you couldn’t have more than one project at a time, but make equal time for each project so that you can get the most out of your bum marketing.

As with everything we discuss here at Online-Jobs.Org, there are 2700 different ways of doing things. Bum Marketing is no different. You can build a 1 page review website of a product you are an affiliate for and wait for Google to pick it up, submit it to Onlywire, and post it as a signature in your related forums that you are most certainly participating in like we’ve discussed in the past or you can write 25 articles based on a certain topic build a wordpress blog about it, have the posts automatically update as you see fit and place products throughout the site that relate to the articles you’ve posted.

You can also dump both of those methods and simply write articles, sell them or submit them like we’ve also discussed previously. I know I know I hate to go over things as well, but if you haven’t already check out some of my older posts there is atleast one tiny nugget of useful information in each, I swear.

So I know that none of us have ever planned on being a bum, what if it could lead to a better life with more financial freedom. Would you be a bum for a little while if you knew it could possibly lead to better days for your life? I know I would be. I know I have been and while I may not be rich I’m better than I’ve been in the past.

If you happened to stumble across Online-Jobs.Org than you’ve most likely heard a ton of so-called ‘Overnight Success’ stories on the internet. The ‘I made $6,000 in 60 minutes’ or ‘I’m a millionaire in 2 weeks’ and I’m sure heaps of other garbage stories.

I’ll be completely honest with you. There is no overnight success story on the internet. None. Zero. Nada. Simple as that.

Have I had a website here or there that within 24 hours was making hundreds or thousands of dollars? Yes, absolutely I have. Quite a few over the years actually. So wouldn’t those be considered overnight success stories? hmm. No. And here’s why.

I research every thing I do on the internet. I actually research so much that it may actually hurt my chances of success because I may be losing time to capitalize on a specific niche before someone else jumps in line. So, yes, the websites made me hundreds or thousands of dollars in profit overnight but I probably spent 40 hours doing constant research on the market and another 15-20 working on the design and content and another 6 planning my promotion techniques, another 6 researching my promotion techniques and another 6 implementing my promotion techniques. That’s 78 hours before the site is really even up yet. Then would come in my ‘second guessing’ in which I suddenly hate the design, decide its an unprofitable market, and debate scrapping the idea because I don’t have alot of capital to start with.

Yes, the greatest enemy to online success is yourself and possibly your spouse but mainly yourself.

The main thing I wanted to get across to you, is that yes websites and ideas can make you money right now, TODAY! But most likely you’re going to be thinking about the idea, the planning, the designing, and promotion for much longer than 24 hours and sometimes, as shown above, almost 2 full work weeks before giving it the go ahead. Even then it might make money for a week or two but you need to fully plan ahead for the long haul and see if you can sustain the income.

So if someone claims to have made $6,000 in 1 hour, ask them how much they make every hour. Ask them when that hour was and why can’t they repeat it each and every hour that passes. Because they can’t. They most likely had a marketing blitz, had a ton of super-affiliates promote the product, do a pre-launch countdown and a ton of advertising and within the first hour of opening made $6,000 and have been nowhere near that ever since.

Base your online job decisions on things that ae sustainable, provide real world value, and can generate you income for years to come. Learn skills, like web design, marketing, search engine optimization. Things that will help you in the future, not on the latest program everyone is raving about but noone can prove they’ve made anything from.

eBookitis is a serious internet marketing disease. Its a sickness where you constantly strive to read the latest and greatest eBook looking for the one secret you’ve missed all these years.

You won’t find it, ever. You need to put these ideas to work and to work for you as soon as possible.

Prove Me Wrong! Write me an email and say Justin…You’re wrong I read your article and got off my butt and put everything together overnight and for the last year I’ve made consistent money on damn near auto-pilot.

Then you can be the subject of next years article called – Online-Jobs.Org Justin found an overnight success story!

Writing article for money can be a very lucrative opportunity for people who do not want to run their own websites, deal with affiliate marketing, or worry about delivering products to customers. There is literally a ton of webmasters searching high and low for good quality article writers. Heck I’m one of them.

Alot of article writers currently on the market use english as a second language so their articles tend to not be as readable as someone who reads and writes in english as a primary language. So if you can do that, you are already ahead of the game and can easily bump your status above atleast half of the writers out there right now.

My entries on this website might not be what to base your article writing off of. I don’t spell check, I don’t double check for correct grammar or punctuation. This is my personal site that I share my knowledge on. So when you begin writing articles you must do all that I do not.

To get your foot in the door is rather simple. You need to find a hot market and write about 6-12 articles pertaining to different aspects of the market. An always popular choice is Parenting, and New Parents. Let’s face it this market isn’t going anywhere ever it will always be hot as people have kids everyday and want answers to their questions now and want those answers without having to call their parents to get them.

Once you’ve written your articles you have quite a few choices on what to do with them. You can immediately post them for sale as PLR articles (Private Label Rights). You can also post them on article sites hoping to bank some cash off of them from visitor views.

One site you can post them on is – AssociatedContent.Com (and yes that is my referral link, though I don’t think they actually have a referral program, just an invite system for friends and you are, of course, my friend)

AssociatedContent.Com, allows you to write articles to be posted onto their site. You can sign over exclusivity to them and be paid upfront for your article as well as $1.50 per 1,000 Pageviews or keep it non-exclusive and simply be paid $1.50 per 1,000 Pageviews but also be able to list the content elsewhere.

Keep in mind, that for the most part you can make more money selling your articles to hungry webmasters than you can on AssociatedContent but if you prefer to just push out article after article and not have to worry about accepting payments, or waiting for payments than AssociatedContent could be the way for you to go as you can post an unlimited number of articles on any topic that you’d like.

They also have their own resource box when you log in that lists articles they are looking for and will pay you right now for varying on subject to subject. Though make sure you read exactly how they want the article or they won’t pay you.

Now, if you choose to go the other route and sell your articles to other webmasters you have to go out and search for webmaster forums, there are a bunch out there some popular ones at Warrior Forum DigitalPoint, and Namepros. All full of webmasters looking for content and too lazy to do it themselves so they will buy it from you in a heartbeat if they have a project dedicated to that market.

You can also search around for Freelance websites, as webmasters post what they need and then you bid on the project. Most use escrow so you know the payment is waiting for you once the job is completed.

If selling articles on your own on a forum, be sure to list the number of words and post a sample article that is NOT included in the package. Something off topic to what you are selling so they can see your writing style and decide if it meets their criteria which again is simply that you can write in english and portray a message correctly without spelling or grammar mistakes.

It is always a good idea to have someone read your article outloud to themselves and then give you feedback on it before you try to sell these to other people. A couple of mistakes that you miss as you skim through your article could be costing you money and you might not know why.

Also when selling your articles, if you are only going to sell these to one person be sure to state that and charge accordingly. If you plan to sell to multiple people, limit that number to 5, 7, or 10. You’ll get less per package sold but more overall when they sell out. Also limiting the number of packages to be sold increases your pricing and makes it so the market isn’t saturated with the same article over and over. Webmasters hate that as they get slapped with a duplicate content penalty from the major search engines. Though more on that in a later article I’m sure.

Hope this helps you get started in the article world.

eBay has long been a staple of online financial freedom for the few and proud who have carved themselves such a niche in the auction marketplace to withstand all competition at any level and become the top of the top on eBay – The Powerseller.

Let’s face it, unless a great supplier just falls into your lap which 99% of the time won’t happen ever. You will not be a powerseller. Sorry to have to break that news to you.

However there is another way to make a boatload of cash through eBay by never selling a single thing.

It is called the eBay Partner Network. It is eBay’s affiliate program in which you get paid hefty commissions on your visitors activities.

Should a visitor click on your eBay link or Banner and not be a current eBay user, you will get paid $25 USD if they sign up within 30 days of clicking your link. $25 in your pocket for each new eBay user, thats insane! On top of that you get a 50% commission on all eBay fees on the auctions that your visitors win.

So if a new user signs up and gets you $25 then they win an auction or two you’re easily up to $30 for that one visitor. Now how many times could you do that in a month? Amazing right?

Let this sink in and I know you can make a decent income each and every month leveraging the power of eBay to your visitors.

Take a look around their site at eBay Partner Network
